From a Mother's Heart

Please take a few minutes to read and meditate on these words from Hannah Sobeski's mother today. Father, I pray in this moment for our hearts to become as Mrs. Sobeski describes. I pray You will continue to minister to her heart and spirit. Thank you for her transparent heart and her willingness to share from her deepest pain. May these words draw us closer to You and become etched on our hearts and minds in the coming days. You alone are worthy!

O Dear Father, there were many many days and many many times this summer in Houston, TX when I would come out of MD Anderson Hospital and I would just sob my way to the car. And I would get in my car and I would just cry and cry. It was the cry of a mother's heart for her baby girl. The cry of a heart that so desperately desired to bring healing when no healing was coming. Do You just sob and sob for us, Lord? Oh Lord, You KNOW the healing that You alone can give and it must break Your heart even more when we don't allow ourselves to be healed by You, the Great Physician. We must frustrate You Lord, when all we need to do is to turn our faces to You and You can heal every single heart and hurt. You are Jehovah-Rapha - the God who heals! You are the God who is going to continue to heal this mother's heart and You are the ONLY who can heal this mother's heart!
I am again this morning just sobbing, just pouring my heart out but this time it is for a different reason. This time You have just dawned upon my heart afresh and anew that it is You and You alone that we each and every one need to see. Oh Father, the only one worthy of our praise and our adoration is Jesus. I have just come from the precious teaching of Your word and the truth that was etched again upon my heart is the reality that You, Jesus, are the only one worthy! Oh, Father, this is not about us, this is not about Hannah, this is not about Hannah's Hope Ministries, this is not about any of our thoughts or ideas. This is only about You and pointing others to the "well that has no end, and the living water." Pointing others to the same place where Hannah and where her family found "drink" and peace. The only Source for any of us.
In Revelation Chapter 5, the mighty angel was proclaiming in a loud voice, " Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep!! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals." Jesus Christ - the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David.
It is no different today than it was when John was given the revelation on the Isle of Patmos - still today the only one who is worthy is the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is the Healer, the Redeemer, the Restorer, the One who can make all things new. Oh Father allow us each day to point someone else to the Source, Jesus Christ. Allow none of us in the body of Christ to be "put on a pedestal." We will fall so quickly! Train and teach our eyes to be on You and on You alone. The only One who will never disappoint us! The only one worthy of our praise. Today, Father, You can bring exactly what each of us needs in the deepest recesses of our hearts, known only to You. Only You can do that - there is nothing in any of us. Oh, Father, Calvary is the place where our hearts find peace and rest and joy. The blood of Jesus is what covers us and makes us complete and whole. Help us to look at the things we are worshiping. Help us to understand that we are all, as brothers and sisters in Christ, "fellow servants with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God." Rev. 19:10 You will not share Your glory with any other! Allow us to release each other from trying to be something or do something that none of us can ever attain to. The only audience we have and that is worthy of our attention is "Simply Jesus." He alone must be the lover of our souls. And Father for every hurt and hurting person even now, allow them to give You thanks and give You praise for in doing so You release our spirits and the bondage in which we each find ourselves. Thank You that by Your truth we are set free and that You have come to give us Your freedom in Christ Jesus! Set us free to love You passionately and purposefully. In the Strong Name of Jesus, the righteous one, we pray! Amen!!
