Prayer Request from DJ:
Dear Church Family,
Today Steve Dyar was diagnosed with esophageal cancer (cancer of the esophagus). This is a very serious type of cancer that is not easily treated. Steve and Susan will be seeing specialists soon to determine the best possible treatment plan.Steve served and loved Anderson Mill for over 3 years as a music minister with a pastor's heart. Therefore, we need to cover him and his family in prayer. Thank you in advance for your commitment to pray for our dear brother.--Pastor D.J.

Choir and Orchestra Family,
I spoke with Susan and Steve last night and they asked we specifically pray for Steve to be a candidate for the surgery the doctor wants to do. Steve expressed his appreciation for your prayers on Wednesday night. Even in this uncertainty, their hearts and minds remain focused on the Lord and His promises. Please continue to intercede persistently and diligently for them. They will always be a part of our AMRBC music ministry and we are better people because of their ministry.

Thank you for being prayer warriors. God is with us and He is listening!

Is there an address where we can send cards of love, encouragement and concern to Steve and Susan? We serve a God who is "more than enough" as we have seen many times before and Steve will make it through this.

Words can not describe the feelings that I had when I heard the news last night about Steve. I know that the time Steve served here at AMRBC as our leader, that he prepaired us to be able to do what we are doing today in the orchestra. I count it as a rich blessing to have him as my friend and to be able to lift him up in my prayers. I hope that everyone will join me when I say that I KNOW that my God is bigger than anything we can ever face in life, and I know that HE has this man in his hands right now. It's my prayer that God will do an amazing work in this time, and work a miracle before our eyes!

As I read Chris' comment this memory came to my mind. I can remember many times Steve standing behind me as I sat on the bench at the keyboard and putting his hands on my shoulders. My thought was always the same...man, he has some big hands! I am so grateful our Heavenly Father's hands are big enough to carry our burdens and us too. I too pray for God to be glorified through this situation and also look expectantly for Him to work miracles before our eyes.
