An Adventure

If you know me at all, you know my life is usually one adventure after another...usually created by my lack of planning. I had a dr's appt yesterday @ 3:45 on the east side of Spartanburg which meant I needed to leave school around 3:15 to be on time. Missie came to see us and I wanted to be able to talk with her a little while, so I went flying out of the school @ 3:30. I knew I had to get some gas (which I should have done Sunday night after church), so I pulled out of the parking lot to go directly to the gas station. I got about 3/4 of a mile from school and my car cut off! I cranked it again and went about 10 feet and it died again. Yes, I had run out of gas. Of course, I had left my cell phone at home, so I hopped out of the car, hoofed it to the school, borrowed my principal's car, called the dr, told them my sad story and off I went. They were rolling at me when I finally walked in.

A big THANK YOU to David Blackwell who went to rescue the Red Explorer by putting some gas in her empty belly and to Debbie for lending me her car. You know I love ya, mean it!

Thank the Lord for "Good Samaritans" even if they do laugh at you. I'm like Kevin, it's just a good thing it wasn't cold and rainy. Be careful out there.
